The only shrimp i wouldnt put in a community tank are ghost shrimp, i have add a few here and there, in fact i put 5 in the new setup i just moved everyone too and cant see any of them or any left over "bits" of them. As long as you get shrimp that actually hide unlike the ghosts, you should be fine. just get LOTS so if a few do end up food then you still have more left over. lol

So I am wondering if anyone knows where to get some dwarf female gouramis in Edmonton?? Looking to get my male some lady friends

i think if they have lasted for 3 weeks with two angels, rainbow shark, betta and recently a dwarf gouraim that they are good at hiding plus i did see one female with eggs in the couple. I have a large bunch of cabomba greens and thats has about 15 stalks. They tend to hide in there and i check on them every couple of days, if i dont start to see them then i will move them to my 2.5 gal.

I am wondering if you are able to find captive bred koi angels and if so how much for a pair???

Ok so I am getting a older tank for free tonight and after I have resealed it, I want to make it planted like my bow front 36gl. Only thing is it doesnt come with a lid or lights. So i have been reading on here about different lights and such. I think I am going to go with the canadian tire, t8 fixture, but as I am renting right now am wondering how would be the best way to hang it or putting it on top. Or in the long run would it be worth my money to just buy a lid/light set up from a lfs???? Also I am not 100% sure on the size of the tank but they said it was 3 feet long, going to pick it up soon. Any help would be great, thinkning on harty easy modrate light plants/ moss

So about 3 weeks ago I went out and bought 13 little rcs off a guy. I have in my tank 2 dwarf african frogs, 2 angels and thats all i know off the top of my head that would go after shrimp, maybe my betta. Anyways I havent seen any but one or two here and there, sadly a couple dead ones and yes I saw a frog get one. Tonight as I was cleaning out my tank, about to move my driftwood looking thing, I saw not one but two hanging on. So all total I have found 8 that have made it in the tank plus one female with eggs. Not sure if she will have babies but I sure hope so. Oh and on a sad note, I found TONS of baby snails time to get a clown loach.
