Hello, from Edmonton. Great site, thanks for having me as I have learned quite a bit from the many generous members . New to aquaria, and I have done a ton of research in the past couple months deciding on a tank set up and species. I have settled on attempting a 55 gallon tank stocked with mbunas. I have my tank on day 5 of a fishless cycle (just added seed filter from a friends tank this morning). I installed an in line 300 w hydor heater on an eheim 2075 and also added an AC 70 for good measure, also fabricated undersand jets (3) dyed black and powered by a maxi jet 1200 which appear to be working awesome. I placed 170 lbs green limestone on egg crate and added black moon sand substrate. All set..... once the tank cycles ......now just to decide on species!!
I am sure that I will have some questions along the way and hope to eventually provide some support back to the community as I gain some experience.
