  1. Hi, Thanks for the pics. of the Ps. Msobo Deep. Now I have another question, can you keep Ps. Salosi, Ps Msobo Deep and L. Mbamba together or will the males fight? If you can't have all three, can you keep Salosi and Mbamba? I know it sounds silly but, I would like to try and get fish that will get along. I know there are no guarantees but ... I was kind of hoping I could keep L mbamba, L.caeruleus, Ps. salosi and maybe Ps. sp acei and or Ps sp msobo (now that I've seen them). How many would you keep total in a 90 gallon? Thanks in advance for your help. It' s so much easier when there's someone you can ask for advice. June

    Hi

Hi Smokey, Thanks for the info. I've decided to go with a lava rock background that I found at Cichlid-Forum.com. I have to run to Calgary this weekend and get the lava rock so we can get started. It's killing me having an empty tank sitting here. Have a great weekend! June

    Hi

Hi Smokey, I've bought the stand, tank and filters. I've sent an email to 3M to try and find a distributer of their black quartz cristals (no luck yet) and I'm about to order the heater and python. My Sister and I may try to make a styroform and concrete background with caves, I love them, but I understand that they can raise your PH and mine is already high. In other words it's coming along very slowly. Thanks for your interest Have a great sunny afternoon! June

    Hi

Thanks Valerie, I was thinking of pipe caves as well, but I would have gone with smaller pipe without your advice.

    Hi

Hi, Thank you all, I'm starting to feel at home here already. Pufferpack, thanks for the advice. I've almost decided to use a styrofoam rock/cave background so I don't have to use so much rock. Have a great day! June
  6. Hi, I have my first questions. Are the female saulosi orange or yellow? I'm kind of hopping they are orange. You can keep more than one male right? I'm thinking of going with saulosi, yellow labs & acei in the 90 gallon we are going to have, what do you think? Has anyone made a rock/cave background for your tank? There is one at cichlid forum that I really like but crafty I am not. I asked my Sister to make it for me but I can't figure out what you do with the filter intakes and heater. The picture of the background doesn't show them at all. Have a nice sunny day! June

    Hi

Hi, I was recruted by Degrassi from Cichlid Forum last week. I decided just about a year ago that I was going to get a tank. I was thinking maybe a 20 gallon with assorted tropical fish in it. I've been researching ever since then and have become obsessed with Cichlids. I've decided to get a 90 gallon tank and fill it with Mbuna. I'm hoping that we will start construction of the stand in the next couple of weeks. I'm sure now that we're about to get underway I'll have a million questions Thanks for the site, I love it! Have a great day! June
