Two things I've researched about fishless cycling but not found answers for are: 1) Most information I've seen says big water change at the end .... is this practical in a large tank? Or can many small changes do the trick a few days before adding fish? This is just to lower nitrates right? 2) How many fish can you add after the cycle is finished if you've been dosing ammonia to 4PPM?

How thick did you go with the quickcrete? How many coats? What was the drying like? I've seen DIY instructions that say you need to do multiple coats and you have to let the coats dry slowly by keeping them moist or you get cracks. Did you experience that? I definitely want to try something like this.
