  1. Wow.... guess our penal system is getting very liberal in it's views...

I needed that laugh, thank you :)

Having a female in that tank will be war . Two males without a female is fine but a female changes everything . Even if the 2 f and 2 m pair breeding makes it worse . As soon as they spawn they will attack anything that moves and a 50 gallon tank is not that big . I'd only have 1 pair in the 50 and nothing else

I might add that some males are greedy and will try spawning with both females . I had 2 females and 1 male and both females had eggs at each end of the tank and then ended up having to get rid of the male as the females where trying to kill him " cheating bastard " lol

Thank you, I guess it makes sense to just keep them alone together.

  2. I have a 50 gallon tank with one Pleco and two male Convicts. There are floating and planted plants, both real and fake, as well as several terracotta pots for that homey feel. I've had them for a year and the Convicts are 4 inches each. They challenge each other at times but get along for the most part. They both have scars from the other but nothing serious. I had an Oscar and they killed him, poor old guy was over 10 years old but didn't stand a chance against them.

So can I add two females to the tank or am I asking for trouble. The tank looks so empty with just three fish in it. Also I'm having a hard time finding female Convicts big enough for them.
