yes, I agree with canisters. Have a fluval 305 on my 55. Just curious about the aquaclears. Probably just toss them if I buy the tank?

Looking at a 180 tank that comes with an Aquaclear 1200 and 70 power filters. I have never been a fan of those fliters that hang over the glass. I know these are pretty old and not enough filtering for 180 gal, but what is anyones opinions on these, reliability, parts availability, etc.?

Currently running a 55 with 2 bala, 3 tinfoil, 1 leporinus, 1 gold dojo, and what I believe is some varioation of a yoyo loach. They range in size from 3 to about 8 inches. Time to upsize. In my early 20s (a loooooong time ago) I had as many as 6 tanks. Once had a 72 with african cichlids, a blue eyed placo, and a very large pacu. Glad to have found this site. Looks like a good resource.
