Those little beads I believe are steel and are just to hold the bottom down to keep it upright. The red liquid is dyed alcohol. Most thermometers are alcohol thermometers.
I wouldn't give it a second thought...
Agreed, has happened to me several times over the years, now I use the metal backed thermometers, especially in my cichlid tanks.
I even have a battery powered one with just a probe that goes in the tank, I move it from tank to tank when I need to know if my heaters are
behaving correctly

I would love to see some posted here or on Facebook

Sounds like a good haul

So, what is the big deal about Dragon Bettas ?

Eheims, media is harder to clean since it's not seperated into baskets for you.
I place the filter media in a couple of mesh bags, easy to lift out, rinse, and put back in
If you want a greater flow of water, then the Rena XP series is a good choice, one lever releases both hoses, and the media baskets are easy to clean ...

Yes there will be a banquet on Saturday night. Our auctions usually go until 16:00, but there may be more lots allowed for this auction than normal ones to off-set the cost of the convention. If you want to leave before the auction is over, for a small fee you can bump any lot(s) you want so that it is the next lot auctioned.
Thanks for the info

$50 per class and the classes are listed here:

Will there be an awards banquet Saturday night ?
CAOAC usually gives out their annual awards, and probably the show awards are also given at this time ...

Hi Rick,
Are you a licensed commercial vendor or are you a hobbyist breeder ?
I would like to feature you on my home forum, but I need to know what kind of business you operate so it can get in the correct category.
If you are a licensed commercial vendor then a section has to be setup for you, whereas a hobbyist breeder can post simply post in the For Sale section.
Send me an email from my profile.
Thanks !

Cash only, you don't have to be a member to buy but if you want to sell, you must be a member of an aquarium club.
Hi there,
I was just wondering why you must be a member of an aquarium club if you want to sell ?
Is it for identification of the seller, or more trustworthy stock, or ?
For our annual club auction, anyone can sell,
we do require to see a driver license for identification and to confirm the address that the payout cheque will be mailed to ...

Well, if you like the fish, then okay, enjoy it
Just make sure there are no other Labidochromis in the tank that might result in further hybridization
I have had some unidentified fish in the the past, I just make sure they don't breed (usually an all male mbuna tank)
