Nice work looks great

I have a madagascar lace plant that is doing great growing huge but it just shot up and bloomed a lovely flower. Now I did some reading and found some conflicting info. It stated that if I would have cut off the flower before it bloomed the plant would not go into a dormant state but to late for that. Now that it has bloomed what's my options? I have read that I can put it in a zip lock for 4-6 months would like clarification on that or leave the plant in the tank what would happen? Would it just die off. I know it takes like 4 years for the plant to actually pollinate from the flower form. Thanks for any info you can provide

Hey just wanted to say hello to everyone. Only been in the hobby for just over a year and loving it. I have a 135 gallon planted community tank and a 30 gallon community as well. Looking to start breeding Odessa barbs or boesemani rainbow. If anyone has any tips I'm all ears. Thanks
