I am throwing around the idea of venturing into the planted tank world. I was wondering if anyone has use compost castings from Red Wigglers for the substrate in their tank. I know its amazing for gardening. Would it be too nutrient rich for a planted tank? Should I stick to ADA?

Hello All, I'm a newbie on here. I have a 46 gallon fish only tank currently runnning (6 congo tetra, 1 large angel, 3 SAE and a mystery snail) and am researching starting a planted tank in the 10-20 gallon range for my classroom. Hoping to learn lots on here.
