One of my favorite tank buster cichlids. Constant diggers and the more gravel you have in there the better. Mean as hell but throw one in a 75 gallon by itself and you will have a very personable and cool fish to own

Likely reds and likely you will need a swimming pool full of no other fish to house them.

Ryan that is brutal. I am a bit curious how this happened though? How much prime were you dripping and how did it fail?

I had one. They are supposed to be an unkeepable species and will die for no reason. Mine however lived for 1 year at my house and now lives in Red Deer at a buddies for the last 2. Any rays are cool and this guy was no exception

You have ammonia. Trust me if your ray is still alive you have to act very fast. Get an air bubbler in there. If you have powerheads in there pointed at the surface leave them but unless you have an overflow, that is the only effective way to oxygenate a ray tank. The water surface has to break.

This was a couple weeks ago. My big girl had 3 baby Henlei. All DOA. Not sure what happened but speculation was just a first litter happening. She is Pregnant again so hopefully the next ones work out. Best baby henlei pattern I have seen though!

Very rare ray that will actually turn white as it gets larger. Deep water species. Mine has started to turn. I have 2 males and 2 females.

Did you just buy it? From where? Seriously cool He's about 12" but very skinny. Fussy eater.I think his favorite food is geophagus. He chases him relentlessly.
