  1. I'd recommend watching Rachel O'leary's channel on youtube. She has a species spotlight on them and has them in quite a few of her videos as she loves them and keeps them with other species. I know one thing she has in with them is gars. I would love to get some bichirs down the road - I absolutely love them!
  2. I'm interested in some bolbitis, Marsilea hirsuta, and Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv' if you still have some available. Just looking for a 2" rhizome of each. If you do, is there anywhere else I could meet you? I live in SW Calgary but don't drive so COP isn't particularly easy to get to (unless you live at the top of the hill in Cougar Ridge area). Thanks!

  3. I'm going to be stocking my 75 gallon tank with primarily tetras...I'm thinking diamonds, black phantoms, and silvertips. I've read that having larger fish in with tetras can help them to school more tightly. I'm thinking either kribs or keyhole cichlids. Does anyone have any thoughts about whether this can actually work and whether those species would be capable of doing so? Or, any other recommendations about what species might work. Thanks!
  4. I've just set up a 75 gallon aquarium that I'm going to running quite low tech with what I think are low maintenance plants. I've picked up anubias, wisteria, Amazon swords and Java ferns. Just got new LEDs that are able to grow low/medium level light plants. Not going to be CO2 dosing. What brand of fertilizer would be recommended? I've looked at reviews of a bunch of brands online, but I can't really make heads or tails of which would would actually work best for me. Thanks!

    Back at it

After a 15 year break from the hobby (back when I had MTS), I've set up a 75 gallon and am looking forward to getting it stocked. I've forgotten so much, and so much has changed, that there's going to be so much for me to learn. Looking forward to getting answers from hobbyists who are experienced with the unique water parameters we have here in Alberta.
