albert_dao
Won't happen Rahim. I've kept them before and they're pretty touchy when it comes to food competition. Rams and other South American dwarfs are okay, and with caution, maybe even some of the more docile Tangs (julies). I wouldn't try them with anything else though. When you have time, check out a fish called Sturisoma aureum. Awesome fish! Dennis bred these en' mass eight years ago but I haven't seen any since. I remember having six of these when I was lazy, ignorant and 13. Way tougher then the Farlowellas. Pic here.
wtac
Farlowllas won't like being harrased by African cichlids. IME Farlowellas, or any "stick plecos" require more wood in their diet to thrive longterm. Back in the 90's Malaysian ironwood (MIW) was plentiful in ON and did wonders for the plecos. The only problem with MIW is that it holds alot of tannins and could take awhile for it all to leech out. I personally like the tea colored water. Excellent IMO for Apistos.
