cichlidkid Posted November 29, 2004 Report Share Posted November 29, 2004 ok I got a pair of "breeding" jewels and put the alone in a 18"x18"X18" tank. they are not very big so I thought that would be big enough. for the first little while they where really excited but they now seem a bit lathargic. also they both have symetrical blackish olive markings on their head and back and the male has a slight yellow tinge. are these normal non-breeding colors? could they be sick? if so with what sickness what can I do to "boost the mood" if you know what I mean the water peramiters are normal and they are sectioned off from the other fish by a tank divider.
