webmoose
My one apple snail has been growing like a weed. He/she Has been spending lots of time at the surface almost out of the water lately. Is this normal for these guys? Should I be concerned? mooose
FishBrain
IME I have found that the ones that hangout at the serface are either looking for food/ laying eggs, or are getting ready to die. I am down to 1 now the 2 that I lost floated for weeks without coming out before passing on. Do you have lots of green for them to eat? Osprey
Algae pellets and nori (sushi seaweed) usually go over well. Ditto for cooked zucchini and cucumber, shrimp pellets and bottom feeder tablets. They'll eat almost anything.
FishBrain
Yeah they should do. I have been buying cheap plants at the CAS meeting mini auctions and feeding that to mine.
