I have some silk trees beside one my tanks and the leaves constantly get shut in the lid and go in the water, and I haven't had any problems. My only suggestion would be to soak them in warm water, near boiling, for a day. thats only my opinion tho, I've never intentionally tried it. Jods2518 Posted December 6, 2004 Report Share Posted December 6, 2004 I have used craft quality silks in my aquarium and I just soaked them in hot (not boiling, will warp the plasic if there is any!) water to rid them of any leaching dye!
