JSTR
Was just wondering where the best place to get these canisters filled? Whats the cheapest place in Calgary? Thanks
werner
I used to go directly to the gas suppliers (Praxair or Air Liquide in the Foothills industrial park), but found that Sprouse Fire and Safety (1323 - 9 Avenue SE) was cheaper and a much closer drive for me. They do take a bit longer to get it filled- under a week, instead of next day. Sprouse is about $18 to fill a 5lb. cylinder, the others were $30ish. They also do the hydrostatic testing that is required every 5 years.
vic
I get mine filled at the local Coca Cola distributor. $28 for 20# tank. Walk in, walk out maybe 15 minutes. You might also contact the Recharge Centre - http://www.rechargecentre.com/ They have operations in both Calgary and Edmonton. Toirtis
We are looking at buying a fill-unit for Riverfront, and if and when we do, fills will be available there, too.
JSTR
Thnaks for the responces there guys - endedup buying the Rea Sea system that uses paintball 20oz canisters. THey are smaller and only cost $4 a fill at any paintball shop and some Walmarts. Being my tank is only a 24 gallon this should last a long time still. happeboy
I don't mean to hijack this topic but what about Edmonton? I have a company that test my fire extinguisher for my store and I'm sure they can do it. But who is best/cheapest in edmonton?
Loyal to the Oil
I get my 20 lb. filled at Riverstar Fire Protection in Calgary for $25. Not sure about edmonton but going to any fire protection shop will save you about 50 % compared to praxair.
