Loyal to the Oil Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 Hi All, I am about to change my substrate in the next few days from generic gravel to eco-complete. Problem is i have nowhere to keep my fish while i do the change and cycle the newly set up tank. Would anyone in calgary (preferrably southern but anywhere in calgary is fine) have a 10 or 15 gallon tank sitting around that i could rent or borrow from them for a week or two ? When my tank blew a leak I put everything in one for 2 days while I tracked down a replacement and got it set up. Worked out fine. Toirtis Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 I have used rubbermaid tubs, especially the larger, more rigid sort ( http://www.rubbermaid.com/rubbermaid/produ...Id=HPProd150034 ) for as much as a few months to keep fish in...they work great. Can they be planted asap when my tank is only 1/4 full for easy planting (i have read i think) ? If so do i dose ferts the same day i fill the tank or wait a certain amount of time ?
