Tanker Posted April 24, 2007 Report Share Posted April 24, 2007 Hello. We have been alerted to a planned outage at our server farm on May 2, 2007. This outage is expected to last no more than 30 minutes, so most members of this site will go unaffected as the outage may occur at a time you're not even on the site. As the date draws closer, we may be told a more specific time frame. Our server connection is being upgraded to gigabit ethernet which will allow for 10 times the traffic at our already great speeds. While we have not experienced many instances of 'bottlenecking' on our server specifically, this will greatly reduce the chances of it happening in the future for quite some time. Our host is committed to 100% satisfaction and so far I think they have hit the mark, every time. I have been using this same host for over three years with nary an issue that was not be resolved with professionalism and haste, so I have no doubts in their ability to reduce our downtime as much as possible in this event.
