breeding angelfish

I've decided to start an angel breeding tank and I have a few questions:

1) How many females to males?

2)Can I keep fry with the parents and other angels?

3) Is it hard or relatively easy?

4) Is there any specific type of angel thats easier to breed?

5) What kind of enviroment is best for angels (substrate, plants, temp.)?

6) Will angels and fry take flake foods?

7) Will it actually take 10 to 12 months for two angel to "fall in love" lol.

1) How many females to males?
When breeding they're kept in a 1 to 1 ratio. Buy 6 juveniles and let them pair up in a minimum of 60 gallons.
2)Can I keep fry with the parents and other angels?
Angelfish eat anything that they can fit in their mouth. Some parent raisers will leave their own fry alone. Fry in a tank with non-parent angelfish doesn't work out well.
3) Is it hard or relatively easy?
Easy to get them to breed, harder to get them to pea size.
4) Is there any specific type of angel thats easier to breed?
Domestic are easier than wild stock. Fish from parent raisers are easier to work with than artificially raised. The bigger factor is keeping them in the right conditions.
5) What kind of enviroment is best for angels (substrate, plants, temp.)?
For breeding, the convention is a pair in a 20H, no substrate, temp. in the low 80's, sponge filter, with a piece of slate, breeding cone or sword plant.
6) Will angels and fry take flake foods?
Adults are fine on flake. It's not ideal however. Fry are typically raised on brine shrimp.
7) Will it actually take 10 to 12 months for two angel to "fall in love" lol.
It takes angelfish that are 10 to 12 months old to pair off. Sometimes a bit younger. But conditioned adults introduced to each other can lay within hours of introduction, or never. Edited by Wibber

I was reading several different articles that said 20gallons will work but is close to the minimal size requirement can I still do it in a 20 gallon (about 5 different articles said i could).
