Vallisneria
Where in edmonton can you find cork bark to make a background?
seajays
How about cork floor tiles, Rona, Home Depot
Vallisneria
I'm looking for more of the natural bark look
Slough Shark
I would guess pet stores that sell reptiles will have them. You could try calling around a bit, see if maybe PJ's Pets has them.
Qattarra
I saw some at the SuperPet on Stonyplain Rd, west side, past Superstore. That stuff aint cheap either.
Vallisneria
I'm considering doing a paladarium later this summer so i'm just checking to see if its available as lots of sites said they used it. IF its too expensive I'll probably go with styrofoam and carve up my own background. Thanks, I'll have to check out superpet.
arixonbarnes
I picked up the sheet(actually a roll) of thin cork when I was trying to eliminate reflections in the tank. It's a lot cheaper than the cork bark but does not have the same esthetics. Could you use a different type of tree bark seeing as how most of it will be out of water? corrosionjerry
I would try the craft stores ( Michaels ) they carry all kinds of natural products... I picked up a chunck on 3" Bamboo there a few weeks back..
Barracuda-m
Try some Garden Centers. I just gave away 45 garbage bags full of the stuff! The previous owners of the house thought it would be a great idea to use it as ground cover. I did not agree. 2 Square meters costs about 15 bucks. Vallisneria
Thanks for all the replies. I'll have to check out the garden centers as I know its used for orchid growing, so it should be available somewhere.
