wolfgang Posted November 11, 2007 Report Share Posted November 11, 2007 I feel for you. I had a bad infestation in my 55 gal tank as well. I tried the loach method and it helps. The problem is that the snails reproduce so abundantly that the loaches can't keep up. The only way to reduce the numbers to an acceptable level ( I say this because it,s almost impossible to get them all ) is to remove them by hand. At one point I was taking out over 30 each day. Also, remove any egg deposits you see. They can be anywhere such as plants, the corners of the tank, and in your filter. Good luck. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
