Use the standard strip spongue pre-filter, bottom basket is ac300 sponges, 2nd basket is filter floss, 3rd basket is bio balls and last basket is the bio-tubes that come with Fluvals. Tanked Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 Mike, I had a similar set up to yours at one time but found the filter floss gets plugged up quickly and reduces the flow somewhat. I go with sponges on the bottom basket, one spone and ceramic rings in the middle and bio max in the rest. Instead of the filter floos which basically is a prefilter I use a coarse ATI prefilter on my intake and simply slide it off every 3 days or so and give it a rinse. It makes an amazing difference.
