patrick Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 When I was doing some yardwork today I saw this squirrel in an old birdhouse with his head hanging out and eyes closed. At fist I thought something was wrong but as I got closer he woke up. I walked back to the house to get the camera and when I came back his was halfway back to sleep again. He must have enjoyed the soft bed in the birdhouse and the sun. Eyes halfway closed, probably wondering why I keep waking him up. At first he is considering leaving to find a more peaceful place. A couple of days ago, I had a squirrel in my crabapple tree, shredding bark, stuffing it's mouth with same and running off with it, ? nesting material. Great pictures!
