Fishful Thinking
I have two tropheus tanks right now. One has a lot of lighting to try to create algae growth. My theory was that they could graze on the algae while I wasn't home, thus giving them a constant food source. The other has regular low lighting. For the tropheus keepers, has anyone used algae growth as a source of food in their tanks? Do you think there is any benefit to it?
Blue Ram
I don't rely on my colony getting much in the way of algae from the tank. With a large water change each week, there is not much excess nutrients in the tank for algae growth. I feed even my adults twice a day. I rarely see them grazing on the rocks.
