Burbot
Hey all, was just wondering when humidity starts to become a problem. When does it become a serious issue in terms of possible property damage to the house? Is a thouusand gallon room ok? 2000 gallons? When do we need to be concerned about mold? Cheers
CORVETTE
As you see this is a hard question to answer. I do know that you can buy equipment that measures humidity in the air electronically. We us this equipment for painting and coating large steel vessels at work. how much evaporation in your tanks are you getting? is there moisture on your windows? does it feel humid in your house when its cold and dry out side? You could also buy a dehumidifier and see how much water is removed out of the air in the fish room and may be try it in a room on the other end of the house To gage the difference? just a few ideas...hope this helps Edited February 4, 2009 by CORVETTE
