anglophobe
So I inherited a small overstocked tank (40Gs, 1 oscar, 3 tinfoil barbs, 2 silver dollars, one pleco) but I'm picking up a 95G soon... Would an the oscar with the 3 tinfoil barbs in the tank be actually sufficient? would it be possible to add a couple of more mid sized barbs to the mix to add the school be ok? rED O
Here is what I would do. tinfoil barbs get to big for a 95 gallon and they need to school so having 6 in a 95 gallon would not work. Silver dollars are great dithers for oscars and work well. I would have in your 95 gallon 1 oscar 6 silver dollars Oscars are very messy fish and need lots of water to dilute there waste. Another larger cichlid in a 4' tank is not a good idea because there is not enough room for both cichlids to have there territories without fighting. BettaFishMommy
i would say the oscar and the pleco can live in the 95, but no other fish. Edited May 26, 2009 by BettaFishMommy
