thejman1
My jack dempses had some babies and Im not sure what to do, I don't have a extra tank to transfer them to. Will they be Ok in their tank as I do not have a extra tank if I need one it will have to wait a week. Right now they are in a 60g with some other dempseys, a couple of convicts, 1 parot. If I have toi buy another tank will a 10 g work or does it have to be larger. Any help would be awsome.  Edited June 13, 2009 by thejman1

The fry will eventually become food for the other fish. I've had jewels breed in a tank with other cichlids and they're ok for a few days until they start swimming. The 10 gallon will work for a little while although you will eventually have to get a bigger tank.
