qtheepie
I was gifted a 29 gallon thank with a Marineland 100 filter, I don't think it's powerful enough, I would actually like to over filter (when I get more fish and plants), what do you suggest? KTK
Well the first question is.... What are you putting in it? Fresh Salt?
DeadGF
I'm not a fan of that filter. AQ or go Canister. Sponge and Substrat Pro
snaggle
If you want to plant you tank I would look at a canister, an XP 1 is going to be more then enough.
BettaFishMommy
i'd go with two filters, regardless of what types/brands, just in case one konks out. maybe go with a canister and a hob? i find that combo works well on pretty much any tank/stocking/etc. perhaps Rena XP2 and an Aquaclear hob (have the hob rated for the same or greater than the tank size). that'll overfilter you right good! lol. Kayen
If planted i'd have an internal on the inside with a CO2 line going in as backup filtration ( which is what i have a powerhead for ) And then a primary filter - EX AC50, or XP2 for a tank that size.
