nicole
So I have another batch of baby yabbies, and the funniest thing about is I don't have a male yabbie, two females that is it. They take about the same time to incubate as crayfish (about a month under the tail) and then they hatch. Except this is what i find hilarious. With all of my others that I have bred and hatched, the mothers incubate for one month and then the eggs hatch and run off to start the battle royale. These guys have hatched and for the passed two weeks ( I noticed them starting to hatch on august 5) they are clinging to their mothers swimmerettes going along for the free ride. They're still new born right now obviously but in a month or so they'll be ready to go. I imagine I will only get about 10-15 out of the batch as they are in a 210 gallon with a few other crays and lobsters but if anybody is interested feel free to pm me now and i will be sure to set them aside for you. Let me know what you guys think.. thanks nicole
