Newbie (1/14)

  1. has 170 gallons she'd like to get rid of... any takers?

  2. So I have another batch of baby yabbies, and the funniest thing about is I don't have a male yabbie, two females that is it. They take about the same time to incubate as crayfish (about a month under the tail) and then they hatch. Except this is what i find hilarious. With all of my others that I have bred and hatched, the mothers incubate for one month and then the eggs hatch and run off to start the battle royale. These guys have hatched and for the passed two weeks ( I noticed them starting to hatch on august 5) they are clinging to their mothers swimmerettes going along for the free ride. They're still new born right now obviously but in a month or so they'll be ready to go. I imagine I will only get about 10-15 out of the batch as they are in a 210 gallon with a few other crays and lobsters but if anybody is interested feel free to pm me now and i will be sure to set them aside for you. Let me know what you guys think.. thanks nicole
  3. Crayfish.. electric blues some hybrids yabbie lobsters soon to be angel fish...
  4. I've got a theory... I've been breeding them for a few years now. I bet he was a red/blue hybrid of some sort. Most of the time when they're hybrids they're colour changers and will change colours with a molt. Anyways... i dunno... have fun with that one!

    Hellooo

Hi guys.. Definatly not so new at the site but anyways.. Wanted to run something by you guys and see what you think about it or if any of you have any advice on the matter or anything please, I'd be interested to know. Anyways, the to get to the matter at hand... I'm sorta in the business of breeding crayfish and lobsters. Now, what I would like to do is eventually be able to export these little guys and send them all over the place. However, I've run into the problem even on this site of nobody seems to be alll that interested in these little guys. Can anybody tell me why this is? Is it because people are thinking lobster... bottom feeding creature... probably going to eat my fish.. ? I don't really know, but would definatly like to! I've bred some really really neat species. My latest batch was an electric blue / snow white hybrid cross. Also I have some blue/red hyrbids. These guys are awesome! But instead of seeing my fahaka puffer and mantis shrimp eat them all up, I'd rather see them go to good homes. Drop me a message if you have any advice or anything to say on that matter.. Thanks you guys. This website and everyone apart of it rocks! Have a great day! -Cole
  6. Thanks so much for the advice.. I will definatly try that.
  7. I have a pair of dojo loaches... the female bigger than the male and I believe she's pregnant.. But I have no idea about anything to do with this. I've tried researching online and all it says is that they breed in the spring when its cooler or something... and not much else is known. I'd like to know how long they're going to develope inside of her before she lays the eggs.. I was told at that point it would be like 3 or 4 days and they would hatch.. any advice is super helpful. thanks nicole
  8. l28 blue phantom and a bn pleco... and then i have a big guy i have no idea what he is... the tank that he came out of said hi fin spotted but who knows
  9. currently... Electric blue crayfish and dojo loaches... thats it for now
  10. I think lucy held her eggs for about a month I'm not sure... but i just remember sitting there everyday going hatch hatch come on i know u want to.. lol
  11. Alright! We have children! I was told to take the mother out right away by a good fish friend of mine.. So i did.. and wa la... mega babies.. They were born on the 4th and they range from 1/2-1" in size, with beautiful blue colourings! Coolest thing I've ever seen. I started them off on blood worms too when they were really little so they've been growing quite rapidly. If anybody wants some let me know. It will still be another 2-3 weeks until I've grown them to the size I'd like them to be at before they go.. But I'm starting them off at $15 then.. So if there are any takers let me know. A bunch are already spoken for, for my favorite store Elite Aquatics... But they're are lots.. thanks guys good luck with ur babies.. nicole
  12. thats the sexiest thing i've ever seen!...
  13. I couldn't be more excited! My female is finally holding eggs. The only thing I have any experience in breeding (this was by accident and unfortunate) is convicts. How many babies will survive? I've got her in a 75 gal tank all by her lonesome... Thanks for any advice you may have.. Brand new at this.. god its so exciting
  14. I have a a pair of oscars with a convict, and sometimes they chase him, but for the most part he's fine. I have a pair of mating convicts that are of decent size if your interested let me know.
