fleshgear
i was cleaning some tanks and found this. i have six wild caught red laser corys i have had them for almost a year. they are in a 20 gallon planted tank with some endlers, oto's, a couple small rainbow's and 3 peacock gobys this is a very healthy well ballanced tank, been setup for a long time. no new additions for at least 2 or 3 months. i netted the fish and touched the groth through the net and it was hard. i dont know how long it has been there, these fish always hide and i rarely see them i am quarintining it. should i be woried about the other fish? what if any medication is there for this thanks

gobies et al
Tumors are not contagious. If he appears to be having difficulty with breathing, then I would euthanize him. If he is not in difficulty, release and monitor, euthanize when does become distressed. There is always the possibility that the tumor will compromise some other system, eating or circulation for example, and run into difficulty/death from those problems.
