hi everyone,

a quick question about wood shrimp, does co2 affect wood shrimp? cause i added another homemade co2 hose in my tank & my wood shrimp was dead this moring, & i^m also wondering if u have to feed those kind of filtration shrimp anything in perticular? because i wasn^t. my tank is really clean & clear, so don^t know if i starved the poor guy to death or if the co2 did him in. he was perched on my marble thing & thats where i started my other co2 injection, so he bee-lined it off the marble, & ended up feet up in the opposite corner of the tank. unless he^s been napping for a very long time in my tupper ware container? thanks again in advance, for reading & replying & maybe someday i just might get this right.

I would think a blast of CO2 would do him in. They are creatures from fast flowing rivers, so likely high O2 content required. They typically locate themselves in the tank where the current is strongest and filter the water from there. The shrimp will pick at the substrate if he wasn't finding enough to eat filtering the current.
