Bandi
I got some fish that came with some tanks I bought. Have been trying in vain to identify them so I can see to it I find the right species male for them. I don't even know if they are the same species or if I have two different ones. The seller looked at these photos also and he didn't really know. He guessed they were either electric blues, or ruby reds (two species among other he raised) He promises me they are not hybrids. Some appear to have veriticle barring and some have no barring but show some blotching. They could be the same species just changing their skin tone to suite their moods. Any advice would be welcome. Kronosdelsol
I have both breeding pairs of haps and peacocks in my tank and the hap is the one with vertical strips, no splotches in the middle. I'm no expert but that is my experience. Those fish look identical to mine.
Jayba
The one with the vertilce stripes could be a ruby red female, (german red I have and they are very similar looking females)and the other is a copadichromis azereus. If you would like shoot me your email and I could send you pics of mine. Jay
