jesp
I am fairly certain that it is a vic. Looks like he needs his colours to come in before he can be identified properly. It might even be a mutt. Keep him fed well and keep us posted.

Jayba
Well according to the person I got the bag-o-fish from he could be either a Paralabidochromis sp. "Rock Kribensis" or a purebred Haplochromis sp. "Thick Skin". I don't know Vic's well enough to say for sure. Any Vic pro's reading this? But at least it has been narrowed way down. jesp
I have owned both the rock kribs and the thick skin. The rock kribs I owned had horizontal black lines and were a lot more yellow. The thick skin should have more colour and it would be more pronounced. Also, the bottom fin on a grown thick skin is usually not yellow. As I mentioned, maybe it just needs to grow up and get its colours. If I had to choose between the two, I would say thick skin. Anyone have other opinions? <-------(You can see a full sized thick skin in my picture) Edited August 17, 2010 by jesp
