fishclubgirl
So a year ago, on one of my trips I picked up some barclaya longifolia, a plant you don't see very often. It's part of the nymphea(lotus) group if my info's correct. Have kept it planted but broke off the bulb from the main plant a couple of weeks ago. Looked at the bulb tonight and there's a little red leaf. So the plane ticket,?? dollars, lights,?dollars, ferts, CO2 and substrate, ?? dollars, seeming that first little red leaf..... priceless!!! And for anyone doing the CAS HAP program, twenty points baby!!!

EDGE
used to see quite a few barclaya at riverfront. gorgeous plant and easy to keep in a wide range of water. They form a lot of bulblet around the main bulb once the plant matured. Don't have this plant anymore.
