jewels
I have been reading about many different sump configurations. I have noticed there seems to be a movement away from media in the sump. As I understand it the idea is "higher flow volumes to keep the pasrticulate matter in suspension " , , , until when? Is the monster protien skimmer responsible for reduction ? Or is that a seperate chapter?
MarkoD
any media you get is just gonna cause stuff to get caught in it and it will break down into nitrates....... so if you do run media or a filter sock you need to clean it every few days. the main purpose of a sump is to house the skimmer, heater, refugium and allows for it to be topped up without the water level in the display every dropping
