jackel38 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi all I have a 110 gallon 5 foot tank and currently setting up and cycling for a Oscar tank I currently have a4 inch albino Oscar and a 3 inch black Oscar and a 2 inch jack Dempsey I'm getting a 10 inch red Oscar and 10 inch catfish once cycled l currently run 2 filters a fluval 405 and 404 is this going to be to much for my tank or am I ok Thx Adam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oscars are big dirty fish, I would think for a stock list like that you are going to have to double your tank size and triple your filtration. Just my 2 cents. geleen Posted April 10, 2011 Report Share Posted April 10, 2011 A 110 gallon would be able to handle the 3 fish you have now only. In addition you would need to do a minimum of 50 % water change a week. If you add the other 2 fish you would need to change 50 % water 3 times a week. Bigger trouble will come with the fighting for territory among the oscars and it is unlikely more than 2 would survive in the end.
