somnio
So I got 2 firemouth's last week and they were doing fine yesterday I noticed one was getting beat up.. So I moved the aggressor out of the quaratine tank into my 50 gal... What is a proper ratio so that doesn't happen??
Jaykit
From my experience i was told that the best ratio is 1 male to 2-3 females. The male I had really colored up nicely when my group matured too.
somnio
And the females dorsal fin is more rounded right to tell them apart?
Jaykit
To be honest they were one of the first fish that i ever kept and couldn't tell you. The owner of the store picked them out for me. As far as i know the males will have a long elongated anal fin and a slightly redder belly but i wouldn't count on that.
