ABwildrose
I want to clean out the white deposits on my new tank. It was previously a saltwater tank and I will be using it for freshwater. Is vinegar and water ok? Or is that bad to use in a tank. Or will just plain water work?
Majestic_Aquariums
For coraline algae, (the white stuff) use the vinegar/water solution. If need be, let it soak on the area (moist paper towel will help, as I would guess you are refering to the plastic overflow) Give that a try. It should take it off. ABwildrose
yup, it worked thanks. Actually, there was hardly anything on there once I actually checked closer...but it worked on cleaning out the sump tank.
