My new male at my full grown female ghost shrimp  and is forever chasing the female gouramis around. should I be worried, is this normal. I was hoping once the plants grew in it would stip. was also going to see about etting some duckweed or something for a surface plant.

attached is a pic of the tank (in case there are suggestions on how to make it more accomidating- if that is the issue).http://s1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff492/yashaviolet/fish%20stuff/?action=view&current=DSC04271.jpg

Yes it is just the two. My Husband suggested I get a couple more. they didnt seem so aggressive when they were in a tank packed with them at the store. But I asked for a male and female when we bought them.

If they were from like Petsmart or Pj's, they have no idea how to sex them, but basically if the dorsal fin comes to a point they are males, if rounded females, with mine I kept 1 male to several females to spread it around so he wouldn't harass just one, thinking this might be your problem (first pic looks female, second to blurry), what size tank do you have?

Just thought I'd update for those whao may be curious. I took him back to NC and got a different male and another female- and two ottos, and a ghost shrimp and thus far everyone is doing great. Seems like I just bought a meanie. The tank was a 5 gallon (I think) but they are all in a 7.9 gallon fluval flora that (Lord-willing), will be heavily planted one day.
