LeafLoose
As far as I'm aware, KNO3 is banned in Canada. What does everybody here use to fertilize their tanks? I'm getting a CO2 regulator in sometime in the next week, and need to find a way to dose EI without having KNO3. Possible substitutes I've come across: Ca(NO3)2 and Mg(NO3)2, but these raise dGH. Are there any side effects of doing this?
Sprucegruve
Kno3 is still available just go to a garden center, they can't sell it to you in powder form. They sell you 500grams in one liter of water Edited September 3, 2012 by Sprucegruve
LeafLoose
Could you point out a specific location for me? I'm thinking somewhere like Home Depot wouldn't have it, it's not listed on their website.

cainechow
Quick Grow does it in 500g containers for 8.00... about the same as Canadian Aquatics with shipping. Or you could make friends with a farmer and they'd probably just give you some :P They buy the stuff in 50kg bags!
