cainechow
If you go small and understock SW can be easy. Mostly I depend on weekly 40 to 50 percent water changes to keep every thing in check. And with a 4 gallon, that water change is not expensive. Sometimes I wait for the frogspawn to close up a bit then I know it is WC time.
cainechow
I actually want to make an even smaller tank, maybe 1 to 2 gallon bare bottom for just a single anemone. Just not sure I know where to put it... But at that size, it could go anywhere at all.
meeiu
I really like your frogspawn colors and i love those shrimps!
cainechow
I really like your frogspawn colors The frogspawn is actually not that blue. A bit more green. But it looks really nice with the actinics. He's done okay for the half year that I've had him. Not the most growth, but I don't feed that much. He does have two new buds growing out of the trunk though. Any tips for getting him to grow more?
fragbox
sweet cube tank going to look awesome once it fills in!
cainechow
I really need to feed the shrimps more consistently. They keep walking all over the frogspawn. If the frogspawn could, it would try to eat them up I'm guessing I might get better growth on it with polyps extended

cainechow
The tank is very much the same right now except the frogspawn is locked down almost half the time the lights are on because of the T. Amboinenses. I think I'm going to go get some dry rock so that the shrimps have something to walk on and hide under besides the coral. Then when/if the coral gets big enough, I might remove the rocks. Is Concept pretty much the only place in Calgary for dry rock (Rubble)? cainechow
Now my tank has even MORE sexy. Forms out the boys were not. One boy + one girl == even more sexy. I woke up this morning and noticed that there was a lot of debris floating around in the tank. I'd just done a cleaning and water change the night before so this was unexpected. Taking a closer look it turns out my tank is full of T. Amboinensis larvae. I guess I should have been working on building a kreisel rather than my other projects. I dunno how many are going to be left when I get home from work. Maybe I can jury rig something if there are any. They are notoriously hard to raise. Anyone have an extra kreisel that they aren't using that I can borrow?
