cichlidkid
I did it, I finaly managed to breed my red terrors. 1 big water change 7 days ago and a varied diet including live worms with slightly raised temp and it happened. I did a 1/3 water change yesterday morning and raised the temp a bit more and when I came home from school I found a surprise. now im gonna need some help. the only thing I have bred before is convicts so really this is my first time. how long should I expect it to be before the eggs hatch and after should I remove the parets or what? Nandopsis
I've never had festae so my experince is limited to other S/A's. Eggs should hatch in about 5 days if i'am correct. *I probably not though* I would say they are fine with the parents untill the male is ready to breed again. Approx 2-3 weeks Congrats. cichlidkid
eggs hatched while I was at school!!!!!! these things are huge compared to the convict wrigglers I had a while ago. male dug a out an area under a rock and the female is still spitting eggs into it from the slate they layed the eggs on. im hoping I can sell some to petland and not use them all as feeder fish.
