SuperGuppyGirl
So finally got tired of the mass of hair algae I had growing in my 10G cherry shrimp tank, pain to move and vacuum under. So this Sunday I removed a small softball size mass, the shrimp seemed to like hiding in it as well as the least killi fry I shook out. Fast forward to Wed all the Planaria that was under it are now on the glass eating the brown diatoms along with the new ottos I just bought. I knew it would throw the tank out of whack and wanted more otos anyway and let's face it need to fatten up store bought ones anyway. What I didn't expect was what I think is another algae (not hair) that looks like spiderwebs to appear. This stuff is clear/greyish. Any thoughts on what it is and best way to get rid of? I've already started first of many daily WC to start to clear the planaria, and a vinegar soak to kill the leftover algae on my sponge.
