Mighty Prawn
I have 3 juvenile Oscars, and they seem to be fighting. At first I thought they were pairing off, as 2 of them would lock lips, and sort of "spar" with their mouths, and chase each other. But now, all 3 of the fish seem to "attack" each other, biting their faces, fins and sides. Today, they all have very visible scales that have been broken. I think it may help to add more places to hide. I don't really have much of anything right now. A couple of rocks, and a pot chopped in half. I'll add a piece of driftwood tonight, along with several more large pots. If that doesn't work, anything else people can suggest? If I can't curb this behaviour, you may see a "2 oscars free to good homes" thread popping up soon! -Hideo
Snowape
I've found when this happens, sometimes moving just one of them out will calm them down.I havn't had Oscars for a long time, but I think what worked 15 years ago would still work today. They seem to get less aggressive in larger groups, but that takes a huge tank. Good luck
