butters
Ok so one of my Piranhas has been growing a giant belly lately! Here are some pics compared to another one I have. What is wrong with it? It definitely doesn't look normal. It looks like there is a small nip out of him too. The picture doesn't give the full buldging effect. Wingin' It
Could be an internal parasite? Are any of the other fish showing any signs of bloating as well? Does the bloated fish have an eye? if yes, is it swollen?
Quetzalcoatl
This is a bacterial infection caused by stress, under this condition the fish bloats but it cannot feed. It is just internally swollen and suffering until it dies. You should check in a fish store for possible treatments and medications. Also check your water and look for possible sources of stress.
