I recently purchased the magnum 350, and quite like it! I currently run the magnum 350 with a Fluval 405 on my 75 Gallon Discus tank. The quick change for the hoses works well and the cannister is easy to clean and change out filters and carbon.

Hi Tammy, There are 6 Juvies in a 55 Gal. The other discus are all eating well. The fish is not too skittish, he swims around with the other fish most of the time, he'll take a blood worm in his mouth, but then spits it out, only for another fish to eat it!

I have a juevenile discus that has not been eating since I got him two weeks ago. I have tried Spectra life grow, Frozen blood worms, tetra pro crisps, tatra granules, Frozen brine shrimp, frozen Mysis. The tank has been treated with PraziPro in the past week. 2 water changes since treatment. I was wondering if there is an appetite stimulant anyone can recommend?

I actually have two thermometers--One is stick on and the other is a glass thermometer. The heaters are placed so that there is water circulation on either side of the heaters.

I've recently set- up a 55 gal for expected Discus and I am having problems retaining heat. I have 3 Heaters on the tank- 1 250 Watt, and 2 - 100 Watt heaters- all are cranked to the max. Is this normal? I've thought about replacing the 2 - 100 watt heaters with another 250 watt- but unsure what value it will add. Is there a specific heater I should be looking for? Any suggestions would be appreciated......

I currently have a mish-mash of fish---Mostly rainbows though. I have Bleheri, Wanamensis, Madagascar, Turquoise, Praecox, Boesemani, Sentaniensis, Ornates--hopefully some new Discus soon......
