  1. That's a winner. I love the blue-greenish color shades of the water and that the wasp is off center rather then centered in the picture
  2. I would be concerned that the fry will drop to the bottom when it gets dark. I have noticed with with my cyps that when I turn the light off, and then check with a flashlight a couple of minutes later, they are resting on the bottom. I have also noticed that if it is not completely dark in the room they will not drop all the way down, but stay in a tight group a few inches from the bottom.
  3. I know someone that has a group of 8 clown loaches in a 100 Gallon with Mbunas without any problem. But that's a pretty big tank. If you only have one then it's a different story.
  4. Those are really cool fish. Does he have his own tank? I shot the guppy without flash on full manual and ISO 800
  5. Here is a picture of a very pregnant guppy.. and here is an African Bulldozer Finally one of my cyps, showing a little bit of blue at only 1.5 inch!
  6. Just before you move them, do a water change in your main tank and use that water to rinse them
  7. Nice shots, and that is a lot of fry...
  8. Very nice Gina! I like your new tank for your cyps as well, maybe just a little sceptic about that "pineapple" orange thing in the middle
  9. I picked up 6 Lamprologus stappersii today at Big Al's. They have 20% off on all cichlids. The little buggers did not waist any time and started fighting over shells right away.
  10. Here is a couple of more pictures. Chantal will have to comment on what they are.

    Bio Cube

I have a 8 Gallon BioCube at work. I had SW in it first but I changed it to FW. Because of the small size it requires daily attention, and that was not possible in my office. The build quality is good, and so is filtration and lighting. My water temp got really hot so I would not reccommend the 8 Gallon unless it's in a cool basement or airconditioned room. I had a small PowerSweep in mine to increase the water cirkulation and that brought the temps up to 28-29C in the afternoon without using a heater, and this was in my air conditioned office. I had to have the small lid oped to keep the temp down but then of course on a long weekend the evaporation would bring down the waterlevel too much, which in turn raised the salinity...
  12. You also need to be sure that the tank never was treated with anything with copper in it.
  13. Both shrimp and cray fish are actually great jumpers. When they go full speed backwards and hit the surface, they fly lol
  14. Thanks. See, now that inspired me to post some more pictures. This time of Dragon Fly's
  15. Yes very cool. I have never seen them for sale anywhere.
  16. Triglachromis Otostigma. Very interesting fish. Apparently they spawn in tunnels that they dig in the mud. You should be able to substitute the mud tunnels with pipes. Here is another great picture.
  17. It was easier to get the pic of the pocker gopher than you think. He was hiding under a inflatable trampoline, so when he got exposed he did not take off right away. I layed dow on the ground and took the picture Just one of those opportunities that you can't let go.
  18. Thanks Gina. They are eating like pigs so it wont take long lol
