  1. WOW! 36" deep I would think is a bit of a prob. for clams. IMO you better consider 400W MH (2 of these lights, I guess-not sure of the tank footprint), and hope you can aquascape those guys up from the bottom at least 6 more inches. I know it has been criticized that I am going 30" deep on my next tank-seems 24" is preferable. But I want 30" Just means 400W, and see what happens
  2. Yeah, 180 is big for sure! Saw a great looking 125 reef ready tank in @ Petland today, that may be a nicer size to jump to? The 330 has now been down-graded to 300 gal 96" X 24" X 30" high. I started to realize the damned stone bases would not fit through the door, if I go with a 30" and taper the bases :bang1: But, the order is in, maybe get here in Dec.?
  3. Looks Great! Won't be too long before you need to jump to a 90 eh?
  4. Well, for the ten bucks, it does seem kinda silly to try and fix. I don't think Big Al's in Calgary is much more than the ten either-but the last ime I walked in there, I couldn't find the exit quick enough. Heck, I just sold 2 of these size tanks @ the auction for $8 each-maybe I should have priced it @ $5
  5. I think they are like $10 @ Gold's brand new! Toss that baby!
  6. Wow-they must be WAY better than me @ cutting glass, if they can snap off 2 mm! I would end up breaking it for sure
  7. I want to use Durso (or some sort of standpipe in my overflows) and I think Neatfreak is looking at the same.
  8. Here's a recent link to a thread on Canreef-it may help get things started for you- http://www.canreef.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18711 As far as hits and misses-well...Hit up Albert! He will set you in the right direction! I always hear the same things from people. Pump noise, vibration, etc. Maybe consider some (if not all) flex line, this may help for noise and vibration from your pump! Nice bike too, BTW!
  9. There should be several in the Edmonton yellow pages, off hand, I don't know of one I have ever dealt with there. Somewhere close to home, and a few phone calls may save a bit of running!
  10. A glass shop may be able to sand off that amount(they would use a wet sander)-but, may be cheaper to have them cut you the size to fit, and take the one you bought back.
  11. I always wondered if their slime wouldn't be NASTY! you would have to do major water changes, wash the glass lots (if you still have hands), and replace pythons like crazy, I bet-they are mean!
  12. Umm. Maybe not then? I think I spend enough time here already!
  13. The added storage of 250 pm's is great-any chance I can have 500 though?
  14. Oh, sorry-missed this. I doubt you will need a cross brace if it never had one in the first place. I have seen lots of 77-80 gal. tanks (3/8" glass) without. Plus, I know of a few members that have even removed the brace off their 90 gal. without any problems. Not sure about that one though...Glass flexes, but I don't think I would want to find out the hard way :bang1:
  15. On 3/8" glass, I think the max. I would go is 24" Anything taller than that, it's 1/2". Maybe call Gold's, they could confirm this in a heart-beat though.
  16. Sell the tank you have already, and order one out of Gold's, pre-drilled w/overflow installed. That's what I would do-Dennis gets it done over @ Bow Valley!
  17. No Prob! Want another? 60" steel frame
  18. You could easily have a couple ac 500's on the back, and they won't show if it's enclosed. Nice looking tank!
  19. Sounds like a good idea, and washable! Nothing seems worse than spills between the glass, and paper background! Do you put the velcro all the way around the perimeter of the back?
  20. COOL!!! Thanks for getting my banner running Chris! And thanks to Darcy for getting it to Chris! This place is the coolest for sure-I am more than happy to pay the small fee to support AA-you all have supported Majestic so well, thanks to all!
  21. NICE! What a difference a background makes!
  22. Cool! So that give you-what, 13 tanks now!
  23. Welcome! That is a nice tank you have for sure!
