  1. It's quite possible that "next year" won't be quick enough for that cat. You might want to source something to keep him in when he outgrows the 120 before he moves to the pond.
  2. I might find them sexy but I subscribe to the well honored look but don't touch code of conduct. They're not attractive enough to be let near any of my bits. Mind you all my toys seem to end up biting me eventually. *sighs*
  3. I'd never call an Hoplias scary, the correct word is "sexy".
  4. The language you chose for this post is far more incendiary then anything was said earlier to. The prior comments were spot on. These are fish that have the potential to get quite large and will require a volume of water which would be a multiplier of most reasonable fish rooms. It would be my suggestion that you read a bit more thoroughly before misplacing your moral outrage in the future.
  5. So how's that German-made shrine to Germany coming along? Has it been shipped from Germany to this backwater land yet?
  6. Well, I took a better look at that spot and have revised to say the genus is wrong too. It looks more like a Copadichromis borylei then anything. Yet even that is a bit off. Given the fact it was mislabeled, I’m tempted to just write it off as a Protomelas/Copadichromis hybrid. I definitely would not suggest breeding or selling this fish.
  7. I'm debating currently if that is indeed a Protomelas taeniolatus, the genus is right but the body-shape and coloration disagree on the species.
  8. Drunk Krystle causes the more innocent amongst us horrible nightmares.
  9. I'm not quite sure of the point of this thread to be honest, however I'll go ahead and state definitively that hybrids ought be culled. I'm not against culling those who create monstrosities such as the blood parrots in the name of profit either.
  10. The head shape isn't correct for a Labidochromis. The fish is certainly Pseudotropheus elongatus "chewere", or at least until they finally get around to separating the elongatus complex.
  11. I do! It's a very moody tank with an awesome lone predatory fish. Have you considered trying to do a large school of cardinal tetras or something with him? It would look awesome, assuming of course he ignored them or snacked slowly.
  12. I'd be interested in getting some of these from you in the future, PM me please.
  13. I sometimes glue little legs to my fish.
  14. I have a P. endlicheri endlicheri actually, as well as another 6 bichers... -roll-
  15. Nope, but soon as you figure out how to properly expose both dark-green trees and white snow in one shot on a extremely sunny afternoon call me.
  16. Neither actually. I don't even own any filters it was just my best case metering. If I had a tripod I'd probably have taken multiple shots so I could do a combination for full dynamic range. I've been thinking about going back and reprocessing some of the raws at different adjusted exposures for a similiar effect but haven't bothered.
  17. Since Molino posted a few of his summer shots, I thought I'd follow with a few of the touristy snapshots I took while I was in the mountains with Ellie a few weeks back. Nothing too great but it really was a vacation and I didn't drag along a tripod.
  18. That would be evidence sir, evidence. You must think little of me to believe that I would make it so easy to trace heinous murder back to me.
  19. It's potential size is still quite a bit smaller then many of the other mean bitey fish I own! We'll see, I haven't taken any aquatics in a long time.
  20. Just remember that when the police are knocking on your door, regarding what happened to that little Saskatchewan kids left arm.
  21. Now if only that price could be put back on the fish when there are buyers waiting?
